Hi! I'm Marina Procházka.
I'm 33 years old and have been working with creativity since I was 17.
I hold a degree in Graphic Design and specialize in Visual Arts. Since 2012, I've been one half of the illustration duo Epic! with my friend and work partner Maurício Cardoso. We've completed hundreds of design projects, focusing on visual identity, packaging, and surface design, always incorporating illustration as a key element of our work. In 2018, I started creating personal illustration work as an outlet because I felt burnt out by the design market I had been deeply involved in during previous years. Fortunately, my personal work was well received and I held art exhibitions, collaborated with brands, and began receiving recognition and my first commercial illustration jobs. In 2020, Epic! started focusing 100% on illustration, and we've continued this way ever since, being represented globally by Illustration X.
Art has always been my greatest form of expression. Today, I realize that many things have changed, but my essence remains the same. I've always been driven by drawing, music, audiovisuals, an interest in subcultures, and a fascination with the transgressive. My alternative lifestyle, the social movements I've been a part of, and my deep focus on a wide range of topics form the backdrop for my personal work, which revolves around strong, alternative women and addresses themes such as individuality, empowerment, feminism, and the emotions of the female experience in the world. I'm a multidisciplinary artist and venture into artistic platforms ranging from digital illustration to wheatpaste and traditional painting, the creation of merch and objects, and my musical side, where I spent years as a DJ/music curator at events in my city and now dedicate myself to learning and playing guitar, as well as singing in my band Traqueia Podre.
I've worked for clients such as Anitta, Samsung, UNICEF BR, Editora Abril, McDonald’s, Pepsico, Bradesco, and others.
